Our new home in the sun
Old Coach Road was the first stagecoach route from Nelson to Motueka and the Tasman area opened in the 1850s. It follows the ridge line of foothills about 5 miles inland from the coast. Beyond the gardens around the house, we have another 5 acres of land currently hosting some fine NZ lamb but soon to be transformed into a 5-hole, par-15 golf course!

From the verandah we can see the Richmond mountain range above Nelson, D'Urville Island and the whole Nelson bay round to the Mount Arthur mountain range in the west.
